Is America a Cult? | ft. Nina Burleigh
Three central themes permeate the founding of America-commerce, faith and radical self-independence. We despise kings and authority figures in general, preferring to persevere in the belief that rational people (meaning you, me, and every other person who you see in sports stadiums and highways) can decide their own correct course of actions. While the pilgrims at plymouth rock eventually fell out of favor-the American dream is replete with the notion that hard work, a good attitude and a little luck is all any of us need to pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps and achieve the middle class dream of being the richest person you know. If I were going to name the American religion, it wouldn’t be an abrahamic faith-Judiaism, Islam or any sort of Christianity. Certainly not Islam or Buddhism. No, I think I’d have to call it The Cult of RElentless Positivity-where we, by which I mean the tone of the nation itself, persists in its own self-centered belief that the American Dream is something other than a dream.

Exotic Plants, Deadly Consequences: The Feel Free Story
Переглядів 35 тис.День тому
Chances are that you have never heard of Feel Free before. It comes in a shiny blue bottle sold at convenience stores across the country as a social lubricant and substitute for alcohol. It proudly proclaims that it’s primarily kava-a south east asian tree root that has lots of traditional uses. But until recently, it was less forthright about its other, much more powerful ingredient: kratom. A...

Comparing the refusal to take a vaccine to to refusal of giving out a contraceptive is wild. One is exercising freedom of choice and another is limiting someone elses. Opting out of taking experimental medication is exercising too much freedom? This does not seem like a trustworthy person at all.

It's called "individual" right for a reason. Victimless crime is an oxymoron. You cannot, as a human, consider yourself "for the people" and then cage your fellow humans for victimless crimes. It's insidious and psychopathic. It's simple. Are you Nazis or empathic? And when I say that I don't mean we need more laws. We to eradicate them. We're stuck in this doom loop where we believe we have to manage people. Left, Right, there the same thing. It's fascism and it needs to go away. Stop trying to control adults. They're adults. They can make their own decisions. Oligarchs are a product of the system, just like Babe Ruth was a product of the system. Hello?!

I don’t think that’s the essence of the book. It’s more like, u work on Theo problem that’s presented to u in this world from a more centered way. U can do that easily when u can start off with accepting reality and then taking responsibility. I think living from a place a surrender doesn’t mean u don’t take action. It’s more like, u accept and take action from a place of centeredness and not from a place of emotion. Hope it makes sense,

First of all, science has only uncovered like 5% of this world. While we are able to quantitatively measure using science, we still don’t have answers for a lot of the origin. So, science I would say is only here to help us to understand this universe. Second, I think following any beliefs be it science or a guru will always end in disappointment because we are not looking at it with curiosity and try to understand for ourself but we just want a quick solution . Practice for urself and realize the truth. Take it if it works or leave it and move on. I would never believe anything unless I practiced or it really makes full sense to my knowledge. Meditation, breath work, sounds, yoga philosophy are all preventive mechanisms to maintain our body in a centered state. Also, who knows if this is the reality :) maybe we are in alternate reality and there is other realities. Do we have any evidence to say it’s not so ? Well then I will believe there is only one reality. Until then everything is agnostic :)

To begin with, alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine & liquor and nicotine & tobacco products kill way more people annually than any Kava Kava and Kratom products combined. Alcohol and nicotine are more toxic to the body than the psychoactive compound in Kava Kava and Kratom. Also, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is not a federal government agency that should be trusted because they have a long history of corruption. Lastly, the "War on Drugs" is and has been a complete failure, not just here in America, but in other countries as well. All psychoactive substances should be legal for consenting adults to buy, use & possess. The "War on Drugs" causes more damage to societies than the illicit drugs themselves.

It is supposed to be used in moderation. It literally says they don’t suggest that you take more than one a day. If you have an addictive personality you shouldn’t take one, not feel quite as good as you did before and down another one. Alcohol is one of the most toxic/ harmful substances out there it ruins millions of lives and is the cause of many diseases and addictions and you don’t see mass uprises of people calling to ban it. If you can’t use feel free in moderation, then don’t ruin it for the rest of the population. I will use feel free once or twice a week and then wait until the next weekend to take it again with little to no withdrawal. I used to be a heavy drinker and alcohol ruined many things in my life. Feel free is nearly identical to the feelings alcohol would give me with out the black outs or serious negative health and side affects of alcohol. People need to be responsible for themselves and not blame the substance or there out of control use of it imo

What the hell is this weird plant / herb I’ve never heard of. You actually have to find out what it is that you’re taking and make sure it’s definitely safe and well studied, supported by many people . Why do we have to replace a drug with another drug ? I get if you’re taking a drug which coming off of it can literally kill you’re … Replace it with other things … like salt baths, working out, eating incredibly nutritious, actually healthy supplements… getting a hobby ? Doing art ? Seeking therapy. Meditation. Reading. Like whatever your health issue is when on withdrawal, treat that. Stress ? Heart issues ? Electrolyte imbalance ? Nutritional imbalances ?

You are a perfect example of how modernism fails. In chasing “science”, you’ll eventually discover it is a religion within a religion. Eventually you’ll discover that religion (not spiritually) is truth… and you’ve been on the destructive side of religion in your modern pursuit of “science”. - maybe I should capitalize the S? There is a contradiction in terms to be in the search of truth while dependent on modernism. The world moves on with or without you. All humans are a slave to something. Personally, and when you really understand what this means, it is extremely controversial, I choose to be a slave to Christ. Even though certain organizations make that sound corny and repressive. The opposite is actually true.

Kratom saved my life, got me off drugs and alcohol and helps tremendously with my anxiety and depression, as well as energy and focus. It is definitely habit forming, as with virtually any drug both legal and illegal. Deaths are extrmely rare, a million times safer than alcohol or even cigarettes. I'm not advocating for Feel Free, I have never touched the stuff, but Kratom saves lives and is nothing like other drugs, far safer and very effective even for long term use as long as taken responsibly. Kava is decent but not nearly as effective for me personally. Both have been used across the world for centuries or even millenia. Now I am not speaking on custom blends or mixed drugs/extracts etc, but the raw forms of both of these plants are incredibly effective and nearly perfectly safe, relative to alcohol, opiate pain meds, or illicit street drugs. I have been addicted to all of the above, due to long term chronic pain and anxiety that I have been battling for decades. Just felt like I needed to throw that out there, so people don't misunderstand the situation. I plan to investigate this Feel Free stuff in depth to find out all the ingredients, I have a good deal of experience in home herbalism, and I am very curious what else is in this stuff and what forms of the plant derivatives it contains.

Look I get it if you can't use in moderation you're ruining it for the rest of the kratom users. I understand that but they market these towards people that already have depression and those addictive tendencies. I used regular kratom for a couple years and it was awesome. But right as I touched feel free I was hooked, it's a completely different feeling. I'm off of everything now but I've gotten a few friends hooked just by them seeing that I used to drink the stuff. Something is different about this Feel Free tonic so I'm really glad this video is out. Good stuff man!

All these scams go to the top of the government. The US government is run by the mafia. They were pushing this kratom crap years ago. I took the bait and it nearly killed me. I don't know what the hell was in it but worse experience I've ever had and it was 100% that crap. I was ingesting poison. I imagine I have permanent issues from it but can't trace them. Luckily pretty much every time I took it it made me very sick and I stopped after the 3rd for 4th try. After first I wasn't sure if it was it and it wasn't as bad but progressively got worse. Don't expect any regulators or the government to help you, they don't care and likely in on it all. Also do not believe anything anyone trying to sell you something. Most are criminal liars who could care less about your suffering. They just want to steal your $$$. If you see something in the media/social media being pushed it's a scam to steal from you 100% of the time. As the world because more chaotic the psychopaths will become more vicious. The best way to avoid becoming a victim is to not have any interaction with anyone you can't trust completely(family and friends) and never believe anything from anyone. It's all BS. It's better to be safe than sorry. If something is legit then there will be proof and it won't go away so you can take your time and wait.

Those who are harmed the most by corporate greed are too busy making ends meet to fight back or even find the time and energy to get informed. To be clear, Attia change on IF was _his_ model of it, which was never recommended for the general public. The science is clear on not eating past a certain time but no longer than 17 hours of fasting, giving the best metabolic outcomes without significant muscle loss. He was doing *3-day, water-only* fasts once a month and 7-day, water-only a quarter. To put it simply, that's a lot. He was losing a lot of muscle mass. Science-backed IF talks about what triggers autophagy, not just increasing the duration of fasting as much as possible. Attia admits, the science wasn't was saying 7-day, water-only fasts, 4 times a year should be a thing. However, if we're talking about people who are metabolically sick, IF has long-term benefits that address diabetes and getting people off the meds that have long-term deleterious effects.

If you are looking to prevent future deaths make a title to attract those would be Wim Hof enthusiasts. There is a lot of speculation around this topic and your choice of words are just as toxic imho. I do hope that we get a better understanding at the risks involved through diligent investigative journalism, research and court cases. That being said, Wim Hof is Dutch and - generally speaking - Europeans asses risk and personal responsibility differently. Maybe there should be a 30 page disclaimer telling Americans not to try this crazy European method.
